Goblins in Gaol

“Friendly creatures, the goblins.”

Hi, I’m Mark

A wurzel is born

Mark Devlish is a fifty-something living in Gloucester, UK, born and raised in the southwest of England. He grew up on a dairy farm in Somerset and boasts that he is a genuine wurzel. People look at him in confusion when he brags about that, but he feels proud. Bless.

He spent his formative years building a solid foundation in the fantasy world by cramming his sponge-like mind with D&D, Tolkien, Pratchett, and 8-bit computing. After two degrees, life in several different countries and what seems like a lifetime at a desk, staring at data all day, fantasy is where he spends most of his daydreams. A fan of a good juxtaposition, he has always been pro-goblin felt that gnomes and unicorns needed better PR and considered elves to be just a little too pretentious.

While Mark has been writing for most of his life, most of his works have been shorter pieces. The Forsaken is the first series that ever got as far as being published. Through his imagination, he hopes to make his world a much better place.
